The HBA member dinners return for 2024, with our first dinner taking place next Tuesday, March 19th, featuring Jodi Hack of the Oregon HBA speaking on the recent housing legislation passed by the Oregon legislature. Designed to spur additional housing construction in Oregon, the legislation will allow many cities to expand their Urban Growth Boundaries, while also providing hundreds of millions of dollars for housing production, interest-free loans and needed infrastructure like roads, water and sewer lines.
We’ll also have a short presentation from Alex Olsen on the local Instruction Construction non-profit that is helping to address the shortage of trained construction workers by teaching hard and soft skills to those looking to get into the industry. If you’re looking for new employees, or expect to in the future, you’ll want to learn more about this program.
The HBA Member Dinners also offer fantastic networking opportunities to build and cultivate business relationships with others in the building industry. We’ll be introducing some fun new networking opportunities at Tuesday’s dinner, with a chance to walk away with a Makita impact drill courtesy of Parr Lumber. |
